This is a collection of 46 of Mary Randlett's portraits of Northwest artists and authors. The collection was purchased from Mary Randlett prior to 1991. The portraits are all black & white photographs. The portraits are all about 10 x 7 in. or 7 by 10 in. and are mounted on heavy weight illustration board. The overall dimension of the portrait is either 15 x 13 in. or 13 x 15 in. Each photograph has a handwritten note on the mount of the date and each is signed Mary Randlett. On the verso is handwritten a number and the artist or author's name. The portrait of Elizabeth Bayley Willis is Mary Randlett's mother.

Elizabeth Bayley Willis was born Elizabeth Palmer Bayley in Somerville, Massachusetts, in 1902. She attended Queen Anne High School and spent a year in Boston and West Newton, Massachusetts, at the Misses Allen School.
